CHRISTMAS:
We went to Stacy's right after church. Sean was all set to make Amereto Sours. I said yes then had to say no (surgery rules). Oh well, next time.
We had a sleep over and the next morning we had our opening of presents. My goodness Santa was good to us. I got a D.S. (which I had asked for) and many games. The best one is the Brain Age. I tried it out and have a brain age of 64. That is 7 years more than I am old. Feeling sortof bummed (but also knowing I wanted something like this to stimulate and get going) Bob tried it out. Hummm.. He got a brain age of 80. Whoo hoo. I don't feel so bad. Kris Gilman wanted to try. She also got 80. She said I want to try again. So we put in Melo's birthday etc. She tried again and it was still 80. Now I know I am going to practice and get better than my age.
P.S. Bob tried again last night and he is now 63 brain age. It helps to practice.
SURGERY.
Day after Christmas I was in the surgery unit in Columbia. I was really calm. I guess I was ready for things to be different down there.
After about 1 and 1/2 hours I was in the recovery room. Bob missed the Dr. because he went out of the hospital to do a couple of things and didn't get back in time (the Dr. told him 2 hours - but he was quicker than that.) So the Dr. came in to see me and said everything went fine. I was just wanting more nap. The exit nurse asked me if I had my perciset with me. I said no. She told me to take some when I got home. MISTAKE.
I took it and ended up throwing up and passing out. Talked to the Dr. (Gloria prompted me to do that - thanks glo). He said no to the perciset. I got a lot better by the third day. I have had naps everyday. So...thanks for all the prayers and good wishes.
NEW YEARS EVE.
Bob wanted to spend New Years eve alone (him and I) so he could go to bed when he wanted to. (He has been sleeping off a cold) BUT...Kris Gilman was spending it all alone (only Maggie, her dog, to keep her company). She said let me bring pizza and some movies. TA DA instant party.
Bob had already gone to the store to get stuff for banana splits. That is what I wanted for New Years eve. So we had one more for splits. It was fun, although I sat on my bum too long and got the throbbies.
We saw..Hairspray (boring) couldn't wait for that one to be finished.
White Chicks. Loved it all the way.
Wild Hogs. OK - had some fun parts.
Kris spent the night and went home early in the morning. Had to feed her horses.

Wow, 3 stories at once. Neat! You actually did have a party. So did Bob have a good time or did he go to bed? It was just us and Christy on New Year's Eve. Watched the ball drop and we went to bed.
So glad you called your doctor! Falling on your face isn't good even if it is on a rug. (Since you weren't hurt, can I laugh about it now? :-) You missed hitting the porcelin basin by how much?)
Are you feeling better this week?
Yay for a fun New Year's with a friend! :-) We had Amanda so it was fun for us too! :-)
Glad you are feeling better!
He stayed up for all three movies. I think he enjoyed himself. He did mention that he didn't like Hairspray and would have walked out if he had been at a movie theater.
I can't believe what 6 days can make on the pain level. Now I have stitch oopsies. I think that they are desolving ones as I don't go to the Dr. again until February.
Jen: You feeling better?? I am glad Amanda was in good company and having fun too.
I was actually centered between the wall and the toilet. I think I must have had my right foot up when I went down and it kept me from going into the cabinet.
Talk about a dead faint. I was out. I woke up to vomit oozing around my mouth on the carpet and Bob at my elbow asking me if I fainted. He helped me to my hands and knees and I finished in the toilet. A neat finish to a bad beginning.
I had no knowlege of going down. No fear of falling etc.
Still feeling icky...dang it! I go to the doc today though...so maybe she can hook me up with SOME kind of drug that won't affect the baby too badly! *crossing fingers*
I must admit I wasn't THAT impressed with Hairspray either...everyone hyped it up and I was all geared to watch it but I think I like the original better.
Yes, I liked the original one better also. I so give kudos to Vinnie Barbarino for playing the big mamma part.
Going out to lunch with mom today and sorting through her mail which is usually all junk stuff, but its gotta be done!
Glad you are feeling better..
Glad you are hanging out with Grandma...I'm sure she appreciates it! :-) Love you momma!

How you doin'?
