LIVER BIOPSY RESULTS:
I called the Dr. office and the Nurse said (the dr hasn't seen it yet) that my liver is not damaged. No cirosous, no fibrosis. Looks like I need to loose weight and perhaps a mediciation I am taking is causing the liver enzyme Alpha triptoline to be high. All in all GOOD NEWS!! I am just FAT!! who knew??? (ME of course).
WELL there you go. She said that when the Dr. reads it she will call if there is anything more to add.
Need you to write again sometime. We need to break the 17 comment section of blogging. Love ya

Biopsy Done
To all who wonder - the biopsy is done. I was suppose to get the results today but you only have to look out our window to GET THE PICTURE THAT 14" of snow CLOSED EVERYTHING - even the Dr. Offices. So I won't know til Monday what the results are.
I was dreading the whole thing of course. I put it off for 11 months. Trusting the bloodwork would prove them wrong and I wouldn't need this proceedure. Dr. Roberts was the one who did the biopsy came in a talked to me. I was told that I would feel the medicine that deadened the area then some tugs when he did the actual biopsy. He was going to take 2 samples from the same poke hole. (my question "one hole?") The nurse touched me and I cringed and my body pulled away. She said she was only marking the spot and try not to move. The Dr. came in and they gave me something to calm me. Then he started putting in the stinging stuff to deaden the area. I groaned so I wouldn't move but they gave me more calm meds and the next thing I knew it was over. Did not have to experience the tugging feeling.
I was placed in the hall for 1 hour because they didn't have a place for me to go. Then they sent me to the Cath Lab for a place and a male nurse to observe and take stats. I was placed in a reclining chair. Didn't get to lay down ever. Then they called Stacy to get me. Oh yeah, I didn't eat anything until 12:45 p.m. and they gave me......

are you ready??....
a FIG NEWTON AND ICE WATER!! Oh baby did that taste good. No real food til we were done with Abby's appointment at 3:00 p.m. It wasn't so bad though. I guess the pain medicine fills you up too. lol.
She had an appointment in Columbia for Abby's follow up on her surgery and so I didn't get to lay down til we got back to Stacy's house.
All in all it wasn't bad. More of the anticipation was worse on me. I am doing fine and it doesn't hurt to belch, take a deep breath or pass gas now. (Oh my that hurt the first day to do any of those things.)

CRUD STILL AT LARGE - LIVER BIOPSY ON WED.
Well, Bob has this crud. He has a sore throat and he sounds awful. He took it to St. Louis - so maybe we will be spared. So far I don't have it. NO, I didn't kiss him goodbye!! Hope you all are getting better.
After hearing from Dr. Mandy, I called the Dr. office and asked to schedule the biopsy soon. They were JOHNNY on the SPOT as I will be in the Hospital on Wednesday morning for the biopsy. I am starting to be nervous.
Stacy has Abby's follow up dentist appointment on Wednesday afternoon. I didn't know that and I also didn't know about the scheduled biopsy til I got home. (And I gave them my cell phone number on purpose for them to call me).
Anyway, Stacy will have to get up and get me there by 8:00 a.m. and be on call for a couple of hours. I told her to go shopping or back home. Wonder what she will do????????
Thanksgiving didn't go like we had planned. It was way different. We went to Cindi and Rob's and was going to Mom's on Friday with Rob and the kids in tow and spend the night at the Cabins in LaCygne.
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED: Went to Rob and Cindi's on Wednesday. Thursday to Mom's for Thanksgiving, overnight stay with Christy and back to Maryville. Rob and Cindi had to move out while family was in town due to the guy buying their house moving up the closing date. SOOOO we moved them to a new residence , 311 Park with Cindi's family helping. Then we went home on Saturday. Sunday we crashed. I slept til 11:45 a.m. WHOA. Haven't done that in a while.
Today was crazy warm. I put up the Christmas lights on our porch. I can't reach the house gutters so the porch had to be my creation. It kinda looks like a gingerbread house with the lights wrapping around the posts and the sides. Not to bad for a gal doing it alone.
Stacy did her house too. Abby loved it. She thanked her mom for the tree and lights tonight. She is a doll!!
P.S. I got a hug too. She hummed "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". It was great reading everyone's blog tonight. Thanks.
